Just got a couple of Hewes stainless steel developing reels that are made to fit the 1” core of Paterson tanks. They are definately thinner and slightly smaller in diameter than the plastic reels. The other difference is there is more space between the central pillar and the reel’s centre. Better flow of developer.
They also make them to fit the Jobo tanks. Got mine from RK Photographic here in the UK.
